The slowest of the Latin American dances similar to Cha Cha Cha in construction but softer and more sensual in style. The slower tempo allows for more intricate rhythms, body movements and expression. You will learn Fan, Alemana, Hand to hand, Aida and Cuban Rocks at Intermediate level.

The dance originated in Cuba and was brought to London in the 1950's. It is a compact dance with fancy footwork and syncopated rhythms. A real favorite with beginners! You will learn the Basic pattern, New York and Shoulder to Shoulder and spot turns at beginner level.

This lively dance primarily danced to swing or big band music covers lots of dance floor and is dynamic and jazzy in its essence. You will learn Chasses, Lock Steps, Quarter Turns and Spin Turns at beginner level. The hops, skips and kicks (A charleston influence) are learnt t a more advanced level!

An extremely useful version of the Slow Foxtrot due to it's 'slow, slow, quick, quick' timing fitting to almost any tune. Developed from the original foxtrot but for crowded floors, this dance is easy in construction and can be used in any social situation. You will learn the basic pattern, conversation piece and the side taps at beginner level.

This dance is the fastest of the Latin American dances and very popular with all ages.Jive is a very happy, boppy, energetic dance with plenty of knee-lifting, kicks and flicks. You will learn the Fallaway Rock, Change of Places, Mooch, Change of hands and American Spin at beginner level.

The Tango, a descendant of the Argentine Tango, has kept it's original passionate style with compact hold but travels around the room. Fast movements combined with sharp footwork and head flicks create a powerful dance full of drama. You will learn the basic pattern, Reverse turn and Rock turn at beginner level.

The Paso Doble portrays the story of the matador (man) and his cape (lady) in the Spanish Bullfight. Elements from flamenco dancing are incorporated throughout making this a very strong passionate dance. The basic steps are essentially a type of march expressing the music which was composed to embody the colour and xecitement of the Bull Ring. You will learn Seprations, The Grand Circle, Spamish Lines, Flamenco Taps, Banderillas, and more at an advanced level.

The Samba originated in Brazil. It was and is danced as a festival dance during street celebrations. Samba is a fun dance which fits most of today's popular music and it's party style makes it very uplifting. You will learn Basic, Samba Whisks and Walks, Voltas and Botafogos at intermediate level.

Often referred to as the 'Rolls Royce' of the dances, Foxtrot is a favourite amongst many Ballroom dancers. Named after its inventor, vaudeville performer Harry Fox, the Foxtrot is often associated with the smooth style of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. the Foxtrot consists of long walking movements which zig-zag across the floor involving a subtle rise and fall action. You will learn the Feather Step, Three Step, Natural and Reverse Turns at Intermediate level.
VIENNESE WALTZ

Sometimes referred to as the 'Quick Waltz' it is the fastest of the Ballroom dances. The Viennese Waltz is characterised by continuous and swift rotations both right and left. far less rise and fall is used than in the slow waltz due to the speed of the music. You will learn Natural and Reverse Turns with change steps at an advanced level.
